E komo mai! (Welcome!) My name is Clare & I am the "President of Aloha & Stuffing" here. Along with my ohana (family) I have created Stuffed with Aloha to bring love, joy & crafty goodness into everyone's life. I was raised in Hawaiʻi & though I am not Hawaiian by blood, I am Hawaiian at heart.
I have been an avid crafter/artist most of my life, but did not truly find an outlet for my creativity until my oldest son started Kindergarten. It began as a way to comfort his younger brother who was devastated that his best friend would be leaving him everyday. That was when the first stuffed friend was born. His name is Hoppy & he was a constant companion that first day & long after.
The word Aloha has many meanings in the Hawaiian language, one of the most important being love. This is what I try to incorporate into all of my creations. My goal is to fill everything that I do with as much Aloha as possible, so that whether you give one of my pieces as a gift to a loved one or keep it for yourself, the recipient will know just by looking at it, that it was made with love just for them.
