Welcome to 2016!

Well, we survived yet another year.

I have to admit, I have no idea what I'm going to end up writing about.

I had thought I'd just make this a Quoteful Cop out, but that seemed like too much work.
“Quotes are nothing but inspiration for the uninspired.”- Richard Kemph
So I decided to share some pictures of the CoW.  Because I can.  Because I may or may not have promised pics back in November or so, when we started rearranging rooms here.  Unfortunately I can't seem to find any of the pre-rearranging pics; I think the sock monster crawled out of the laundry room & deleted them from my phone.  He's a brat that way.

Anyway, these are just a few pics of what the CoW looks like now.  It is still a work in progress as I still have rearranging & more downsizing/purging of unused things to do.  I'm pleased though, because you can see the floor & I think the energy flows better.

Picture
Some people have altars for remembrance, prayer or faith based reasons, meditation, ritual sacrifices...I just have one for soap. (The pics above it are the Squab [l] & Chicken [r] from waaaay too long ago.
Picture
At the top of the southwest corner of the room I have Wiener Schnitzel Von Hasenpfeffer (WSVH). He likes to swing & keep watch over everything.

Picture
Above my (north facing) window is the most awesome 'Mitch' by my amazing friend Shani. There's a story behind him, but basically Mitch is a six foot tall candy cane in a powder puff blue tuxedo. I love Mitch.
Picture
In the northwest corner (above the picture of a Weeping Angel that the Squab's friend gave me) I have my wind chime. Because I like wind chimes. I also like this pic better in black & white.

Picture
The northeast corner, behind the entrance to the Cave of Wonder is Babooze. He's WSVH's best friend & also watches over things.
Picture
Behind these doors lies a magical portal to worlds of excitement & wonder. Or, if you are the Stork it's the closet with the holiday decorations, all my blank canvases & office supplies. I like my interpretation better.

Picture
Every creative space should invite/invoke some magic. This is the faerie chime I made to let the magical beings know that they are welcome. It has a couple of tiny bells (for beautiful, magical music), a pendant that says 'Believe' (to let them know I do believe in magic) & heart (to let them know this space is full of love).
Picture
Below the faerie chime is my desk/headquarters/place where most everything happens. And all the stuff. The little bookcase (not visible but the lamp is sitting on it) has my permanent markers, & various other createy weapons. Fun fact: the blue lei (closest to the corner) on the wall is a money lei (don't get greedy, it's all pennies) that my sister's best friend gave me when I graduated from high school. I might be mistaken, but I think it has the same number of pennies as the year I graduated ('92).

Well, there you have it.  The only pics of the CoW that I deem not blurry enough to share.  I hope you enjoyed them.  By the way...

Yes, I do have various pieces of art from both my boys & my friends on the walls, as well as some of my creations (there is a lot of my stuff on the walls of our guest room).

Yes, I do name my stuffed animals.  Doesn't everybody?

Aloha hugs until later gang,
-Clare

The Chicken Picks the topic!

“Penguins mate for life. That doesn't surprise me much because they all look alike. It's not like they're going to meet a really new, great looking penguin someday.”  - Unknown

Yes folks, I let my Chicken pick the topic(s) for today's post, as I got nuffin.  Furthermore, I don't have a ton of time as much errands & sick Chicken (severe sinus infection causing extreme dizziness & more than one occasion of lost balance; yes he is on antibiotics).

So quoteful cop-outs it is today.  I'll try to get back to a normalish (normaler?) post later this week.

Aloha hugs until then gang,
~Clare

No idea where The Google got this, but I love it,

Just wanted to pop in for a quick minute to say hi.  I'm in my Cave of Wonder painting with nail polish while outside the wind & the rain have combined with our water fountain & my wind chimes to create a beautiful, peaceful symphony to contradict the boisterous noise of the football game in the other room.

Hope you're all having a wonderful, relaxing weekend.

Aloha hugs,

Just wanted to wish all of the mothers (biological, adopted, surrogate, spiritual or otherwise) a very Happy Mother's Day.  I hope you all receive the pampering you deserve.  Or at least ice cream.

Aloha hugs,

Trying a newish thing as I do not have the time for my usual long winded ramble.  It won't be a regular thing, but today I feel the need to share how my week has been going & this quote seems to sum it up nicely.

I should hopefully be back to normal in a few days.

Aloha hugs,
~Clare

Just a quick note to tell you...I got nothin'.

Sorry, I've given it about ten seconds worth of deep thought & I couldn't come up with anything insightful or interesting to say.  So, "quoteful copouts" it is.  Hopefully I'll come up with something new by Monday.

"Spring has returned. The Earth is like a child that knows poems."   - Rainer Maria Rilke

Okay, you're probably right, I don't really have the capability to do "quick" notes.  However, this time I shall endeavor to make it happen.

So, it is in that spirit of brevity, that I say this.....

I added two new pieces!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Go check them out!  Here & Here

Aloha huggies & wishes for a beautiful day,
-Clare
P.S. I hope you all had a wonderful Easter, full of family, friends, food & CHOCOLATE!

'“An intense anticipation itself transforms possibility into reality; our desires being often but precursors of the things which we are capable of performing.” - Samuel Smiles

Just a short not my lovelies, to tell you I am still alive & that after a (seemingly) never ending bought of one illness after another, both my baby birdies have gone back to school.  Hooray!

Biggish things are in the works, thanks to a very talented & amazing friends.  But kinks still need to be straightened, so more about that next time.

Anyway, just wanted to say hello, I am still here & will be back in (hopefully) full force, soon.

Aloha hugs until later,
-Clare
