Thith ith Bruth (pronounced "Brooth").  He ith a thock puppet I made for my Chicken to help with hith Drama clath homework.

Okay, typing with a lisp is hard.  Anyway, the fabulous Effy Wild over at http://effywild.com/

has this thing she does called the 'Sunday Swoon' & I thought I'd give it a try.  Because I'm bored.

Basically, (I think, because honestly I'm in a skimming mood & not a full on reading mood) you post your shiny/shiniest moment of the week on your blog & share it with Effy, who in turn shares it with everyone else.  I think.

So this week has been rough.  The Chicken has been sick & home from school all week.  The Squab has been fighting something off & training for his first ever out of town (read without mom) cross country meet.

Adding to the worry over a sick Chicken, was the guilt of not being able to make the almost 300 mile trek to watch the Squab run.  Watching this boy run is one of the EXPENSIVEly simple joys in my life.  He is fast.  He is good & this was the first meet EVAR that I was not going to be at.  Major for me.
Needless to say, I did not get to do much creatively & added a killer migraine to the end of my week.

However, the Chicken is getting better.  The Squab did incredibly well without me there screaming my head off for him.  Their father, who will from this moment on forever be known as The Stork, because let's face it without him I wouldn't have the Squab or the Chicken, is ready to start a new job tomorrow.  And most importantly, I got to be shiny for a bit & create Bruth to help my Chicken.

As an added bonus, Bruth is hilarious when I am working with him & has made everyone laugh.

Now I will attempt to link this to Effy, so the rest of you can see how awesome she is!

Aloha hugs,
~Clare

    More about "ME"

Aloha my name is Clare! My main job title is Mom, but I'm also an artist, crafter, avid experimental cook & occasional rabid baker. I live in Idaho with my husband & two sons (the "we" or "us" part of this website), but was raised in Hawaii. Feel free to explore our pages as we grow & change.  Mahalo! (Thank you)
