Now on the first basket I used just parts of the front & back covers as the base, because I had no clue so I just started. This time, I had a rough idea of what I was doing, so I decided to try using a piece of cardboard (hooray for offspring who despite their teenaged years still love to play with empty boxes) in between the cover pieces to make it sturdier.
***Once again I did not have the foresight to take pics of each step, as I am way too whatever to think that way. Sorry. Just try to picture it in your head.***
I decided to try to make this basket round, because let's face it, round is a shape. So I cut my shape in the cardboard & used that as a template for the cover pieces that would purtify (I made that a word) my base. Now I did forget to take pics of the base, but the bottom was a very nice looking avocado from an ad & the top way a skillet full of yummy sizzling veggies. (I was slightly hungry when I picked those.)
Anyway, as I started building the basket, I happened to look over & see the empty lemonade mix container (because everyone saves those right?) & it occurred to me that I might actually have an idea. (Who'd thought?)
Needless to say, I wanted to see if the lemonade container would fit in the basket (because how cool would that be as a vase?) & it did! I was so very excited that I almost smashed the unfinished basket celebrating.
So, below I present to you the finished product. The lemonade container can be removed, to add water & real flowers to it. I did not have any real flowers & was not sure when the person it told me it wanted to live with would be getting it, so I put some of my favorite silk flowers in it. Still purdy.
Aloha hugs until next time m'luvs,
