Continued birthday yumminess

As you know, yesterday was my birthday.  And I survived it.  Barely.
Yes, I made it to forty-one & one day.  No, I did not kill anyone in a cawfee-deprived state, but only because The Chicken thought it best to cawfinate me before that happened.  (Bless that boy, always looking out for humanity.)

One of the highlights of my day, was THE BOX.  Yes, I got a box in the mail yesterday.  On my actual birthday.  From Hawaii.  From my mum & sister.  It was a box of yum.  Here...

Picture
Assorted yummy smelling products from The Body Shop, including three new bar soaps for shaving. AND two jars of Kiawe Honey. I must admit, I was more excited about the honey than the bar soaps, but only slightly.

I love getting boxes of yum from my Mum (intentional rhyme) & Sis. They make me smile.

Know what else makes me smile?  The realization that I will be able to take two of those bars of soap to fill these...

Yup, I tagged my empty jars in anticipation of the filling of their jar-y bellies with the smelly yum soaps. (in case you were wondering, the third bar is honey.)

Well, now that you know what I've been doing today (shaving soap!) you can continue with your day blissful in the knowledge that I am still that weird girl who likes to take a vegetable peeler to bars of soap.  And I don't intend to change that.  Ever.

Btw, in case you were wondering, I had a bowl of bar soap that I had hacked to bits with a butter knife when I was nineteen (because I did not own a vegetable peeler at the time).  The scent lasted for at least sixteen years (might've been longer if not for that pesky fire) & I am confident that it would have lasted at least twenty if it had the chance.  So, any sachets or other things I or you make with soap shavings have the potential to smell yummy for a reaaaaaaallly long time.
