However, I am going to choose to focus on the fact that it was a beautiful day & go from there.
But we did & not only was Dad able to sleep in his own bed last night, but he was also able to have the Chicken sleep in his spare bedroom! As an added bonus, the Squab crashed at a friend's house last night as well. Which means...the Stork & I ate dinner & went to bed. Yup, romance lives in my hale.
Actually, the Chicken, Dad & I were at Dad's most of the day unpacking, while the Squab & Stork were at home doing yard work. Like how I got out of that weed pulling? Me too. ;) By the time we all finished our respective chores, everyone was so wiped out that we only had enough energy to buy frozen or pre-made deli meals, shower, eat & go to bed. I do believe that the Squab, being sixteen, was the only one who had any energy at all.
Anyway, I am working on a couple of small projects right now, that I hope to show you & have available for sale by this time next week.
Currently, I am finishing a very special graduation gift for a very special niece. I'll call her the Peacock for the sake of this blog, as she is a beautiful, colorful soul who can't help but make people smile. While I won't be able to attend her (high school) graduation, I am going to make sure that she feels my aloha for her from here. This is one special young lady & as soon as she has opened her gifts next month, I'll share one of them with you, as it not only reflects some of her personality, I'm also pretty darned pleased with myself for how it turned out. But you have to wait, because I'm not sure if she reads this ramble fest, but I do not want to take any chances.
Oh I almost forgot! Please join me in wishing one of my very blondest friends Ms. M, an extremely Happy Older than Me Day!!!!!
So, to wrap this up I will leave you with this quote to ponder for the week:
