Man I hate it when that happens! I so totally knew what I wanted to say before I started typing & yet the minute my fingers hit the keys *POOF* the train not only went off the tracks, but it totally disappeared! ~Grrrrrr!~
Okay so based on the title of this post (no, seriously the thought literally left my head as soon my fingers touched the keys), I'm guessing I wanted to tell you about some of my artistic inspirations. Yeah that's it!
So I wanted to tell you that I have this absolute, undying, completely non-creepy, absolute awe-inspired love for some of my fellow artists. Like, I am totally thankful & tremendously blessed to call some of these amazing people my friends.
Like Janelle from Hands and Harts, whom I not only have the supreme pleasure of calling an amazing friend from my brief attempt at becoming a college student, but who also introduced me to many others like myself. She opened the doors to a world I had dreamt of & visited once, but had long since forgotten. A world of people who love to create art, in any form.
It is was in this world that I met Cheryl, as in Cheryl Stevenson, Artist. This woman not only thinks I'm funny, but she has an amazing talent, rivaled in size only by her tremendous heart. She has been an incredible source of encouragement, not just for my work, but my sarcasm as well. She was also the first one to truly embrace my "Crafting for a Cause" mission.
Then there is the incredible Tammy over at Embracing the Whole Heart, whose talent is boundless. From teacher, to artist, to just plain artistic ninja, Tammy's suggestions & advice have proven to be invaluable to my creative unraveling (of ideas) process.
I might also mention the incomparable Jani, of The ART House, also known as Jani Franck. Artist, teacher, motivator, inspiration coach & totally awesome creative guru. Her classes & creative groups on Facebook make it almost impossible for a person to not find inspiration.
Oh & I can't forget my good friend & "sista" at heart, Mokihana of Mokihana's Garden. I had the honor of meeting this wonderful wahine (woman) through Aloha World, a place where many of us "relocated" Hawaiians & Hawaiians at heart go to get a taste of home on the internet. She has been one of my most constant inspirations for many years now & I am so very blessed to have her, like all the others, in my life. Her stories, even those not about Hawaii, are magical journeys that don't need the gorgeous pictures that accompany them to "take you there", but are made even more real because of them.
I could go on listing my inspirations for days on end & still not even begin to scratch the surface of the pool that is my creative soul. I do hope however, that you have understood my reason for writing this. And if you would like to learn more about the fantabulous folks that rock my wacky world, visit my friends' page here.
Hello, my name is Clare & I love my fellow artists.
