What I do know is that I would like to share this happy pic with you. You know, because even things we don't necessarily like or want to happen can be positive.
Hope you're all having a spectacular summer!
Aloha hugs,
-Clare
I have to say, I love that Weebly allows me to write blog posts & schedule them to be published at a later date. Maybe this is the Universe's way of nudging me to blog more. Maybe it's just progress. Maybe I need CAWFEE. Who knows. What I do know is that I would like to share this happy pic with you. You know, because even things we don't necessarily like or want to happen can be positive. Hope you're all having a spectacular summer! Aloha hugs, -Clare For whatever reason (whether it's the materials I'm using, stress or you know, weather) the palms of my hands have had dry patches on them lately. This one is in the shape of a heart. It isn't as bad as the other hand, so hard to see on it's own, so I traced it with my favorite blue Sharpie. Seriously, there's a dry patch there. I promise.

It's 12:30 AM & I am still awake. Why (you didn't ask)? Well, because I am "Maum" (pronounced 'Mm-ow-mm') & my Squab is not home from work yet. Damned labor laws & seventeen year olds. (Funny how they can pretty much work 'em like adults, but they still have a midnight curfew.)
Remember my previous post, where I talked about flooding Facebook with positivity from our own lives? (No? Read it here.) Anyway, I fully intend to keep that up, just not on a daily basis, because let's face it, I have issues. So here is my next "positive" pic. Aloha m'luvs! This is one of the scars from my recent knee surgery (from my p.o.v.). Healing nicely & looking like a butterfly ("because a dragonfly's body would be longer" <<< says my argument with the Stork because my boys don't know the difference). Have I mentioned yet that I love my orthopedic surgeon? Call me strange for loving this, I'm damned proud. Yes, I have been one & I am sorry. Life has been happening, so whatever. You just have to go with it & make as lemon cake as you can. (You know, from the lemons.)
Anyway, I have been creating much as possible & decided I'd share with you one of the things I've done recently. With pictures. Like a tutorial, only not. I am pleased with how it turned out, considering it was a recycled materials project & I had absolutely no idea or real plan whatsoever. (Yay me!) ...aka yours truly.
First, I'm doing this from the Weebly app on my phone, so if this doesn't end up as colorful as my usual posts, blame the app. Now, on to the message. I've been noticing a lot of struggling out there, both with my friends & just others through social media (because I don't necessarily trust regular news outlets). So I just wanted to take a moment to share something I found on 'The Google'. It is true & applicable to EVERYONE. Yup, I'm now officially on Twitter. Be afraid, be mildly afraid. But still follow me, because I'm just learning & insecure about my place at the cool kids' table.
Notice I added the Twitter button at the top right? Proud of myself, I am. Figured that part out all on my own. So I'm @StuffedwAloha. Check me out! Aloha hugs until I figure it all out, ~Clare Just wanted to pop in & post something. My brain however is fried from a challenging week, so I did what I love to do, which is ask 'The Google'. Except I couldn't think of what to ask 'The Google' for. The Squab is at work, the Stork is cooking & the Chicken is in his room, so I decided to open Pinterest & see what grabbed me first. Well, as you can imagine (as I'm sure you know I'm very easily...oooh smells...) I did not make it to Pinterest before it came to me. Yes, folks, I actually had a thought, Don't look so shocked, it happens. Anyway, I recently saw a piece of art that just mesmerized me. And as we all know my brain works how it works, I actually started thinking that the style of the piece that I loved (see it here) would look absolutely killer as a/in a tree. Which led me to ask 'The Google' for trees. Which gave me results that included this pic. You're welcome.
You may now return to your regularly scheduled programming. Aloha hugs, ~Clare Well, I am back & boy did I miss you. Unfortunately life has you know, happened. Yes, much has transpired this year, including a torn meniscus (mine) & lots of nasty cold germs. So far 2015 has not been kind to start. But I'm back & trying to get creating again. It has not been easy getting into a creative mindset, but something happened today that has helped. Wanna know what? Well why don't I show you? Yup, the Squab FINALLY made me (not really, but he helped a lot) scones!
You see it's finals week & the high schools had a half day, so he & a friend decided to save some money & come cook in my kitchen. (You have no idea how much this tickles me. Seriously, it's what my kitchen has NEEDED for a long time.) Not only did they make some onolicious (sooooo good) apple scones with cinnamon butter, but they also brought me (I bribed them) a cup of my favorite Dutch Bros cawfee (white chocolate annihilator with blackberry syrup). How can I not be inspired to make things with motivation like that? Plus, they are now making chicken nachos. So, this is me, saying hi. I'm still recovering from the knee thing, but my mind & heart are heading back to art. Until next time... BUBBLES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Aloha hugs, ~Clare Honestly, my most favorite "non-traditional" Christmas song ever. Because it is.
So I said to the Squab "Quick shout out something bizarre!"
The Squab responds with "Fruitcake toenail!" This is what I found when I asked The Google for "fruitcake toenail" This is just a little of what I have been feeling today. I'm not asking for feedback.
I rarely talk about my political or religious views, because I choose not to open myself up to the criticism or speculation of others. My beliefs are my own & no one's to question. On this rare occasion however, I am telling you how I feel about one of these & I'll respect your right to agree or disagree, but I will not tolerate judgement or lectures. The Chicken has a severe sinus infection & yucky lungs. So here is a representation of what my week has felt like. Hoping things return to normal soon.
Aloha hugs, ~Clare |
